Notes

Cultural Activity: Whilst in Matusadona, we will go and spend the day at the traditional Tonga village of Mola on the outskirts of Lake Kariba. This will be an education of a subsistent existence or a vanishing culture.

Walking and Canoeing Safari: The lower Zambezi Will include first night at Vundu tented camp to settle into the valley, and then followed by an afternoon’s paddling on the river on the second day as an introduction to the canoeing safari which will include walking.

Matusadona Experience: This will combine a unique cultural experience, but offer the wildest trekking of lion and the endangered black Rhino, but still have the beauty of the Lake shoreline.

Hwange to Victoria Falls: Transfer to Victoria Falls from Hwange will be by road at the end of the safari. This is a cost effective way of doing it but also make an activity out of it as it will pass through a number of Ndebele villages. Alongside of the road young boys herding goats and cattle, wood and stone carvers can be seen. This will add some interaction with the actual artist who carve the various curios to send into places such as Victoria Falls that are more commercialized. The landscape and scenery of the country will also be appreciated after all the flying.
